What we mean by cookies
"Cookies" here includes HTTP cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, and similar browser storage used for prefs and sessions. The prototype primarily uses local storage for this panel.
Categories
- Essential — auth session flags, security, load balancing, fraud basics, storing these prefs.
- Analytics — aggregated product usage. Off by default in this UI.
- Marketing — campaign attribution tags. Off by default. Separate from Mask Mail email opt-in on your profile.
How long / how to clear
Preference records stay until you change them or clear site data for this origin. Browser controls can block or delete cookies entirely; essential features may break if you block everything.
